Cost: $360 (single or married)

Time: Approximately 3.5 hours, with 1.5 hours of free time in the middle (take a walk, get dinner, pray in the chapel).

Details: Join us to complete your estate plan in one night (including a will, health care directive, and financial power of attorney).

A Catholic Estate Plans workshop consists of:

You receive a simple questionnaire, which you must complete and bring to the workshop.
At the workshop we work together on your estate plan, with plenty of time for questions.
Then you go out for dinner, or a walk, or stay and pray, for about an hour while we draft your documents.
You return, sign your documents, and go home with a complete estate plan!

Our workshops are designed for adults who: - are practicing Catholics - reside in Minnesota - are U.S. citizens - have less than $2 million in total assets - do not own farmland, or any real estate outside of Minnesota - have a simple family structure (no children from multiple marriages) - want a will that distributes assets equally to their children and/or to charities - want a health care directive that incorporates Catholic teaching. Workshop participants must be able to type information into a computer.

What is Catholic Estate Plans?

We hear time and again from people who know they should make an estate plan to take care of their families and make sure their wishes are respected, but they just don’t have the time or money to get it done. We’ve also seen all kinds of estate plans that don’t really meet people’s needs: cheap online plans that don’t work; plans that ignore the Catholic faith; super expensive plans where people have paid for way more than they actually need.
